My field of expertise is the lighting and camera department. Both departments rely on one another in order to achieve professional results which stand out from your typical mill of the run work. I love the technical aspects of both departments, and want to learn even more with new technology coming out every year.
When I first applied to work with Badgers and Combes, they made me feel so welcome from the moment I first walked on set to the moment I left. Ever since then, I’ve worked on multiple projects such as RTS events, Sale Shark games and podcasts, from working as a P.A, to a camera operator. They give young filmmakers the opportunity to show off their skills and become more confident. Show them you want to be there and they’ll keep calling you back.
I wasn’t a person who fell in love with film and TV from a young age. I finished school and didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Looking through multiple courses, I stumbled across a Film and TV course, and I’ve never looked back. I love the whole technical side of it all and how you have to work alongside people to achieve the results you want. It expands many skills, and I wanted more.
I then moved to Manchester in 2017 to pursue my dream. I started studying at the University of Salford, and after a long and fun three years, I feel more confident than ever to achieve my dream of working in the film industry.
