As I’m told with some extra flare thrown in for good measure! At home behind a camera or a mixing desk, I’m always on the lookout for the “perfect shot” or the next great sonic experience. There’s always more to be seen and heard and its my job to find it! A student of Television and Radio has given me the skillset to work on some truly amazing projects with Badger & Combes! I’ve participated on a plethora of different projects from live multi-camera broadcasts that span nationwide, to single camera dramas and even producing my own original sound designs for theatre productions, radio dramas and podcasts.
I’m a greedy creative with a hard-graft mentality; meaning my imagination is going a mile a minute but I’ll make sure that the van is loaded on time. Having worked in both the Camera and Sound departments for many years now, I have amassed plenty of knowledge and experience that I can comfortably bounce between the two departments and receive flawless results every time. I believe that for a production to be good, there must always be a healthy balance between the visual and sound based elements – I just so happen to be skilled in both. I can create soundscapes to an industry standard with experience in the field since 2012, where I started in theatre sound design and learning all I could from professionals. I have worked on independent productions throughout my education to develop my skillset further with industry professionals and taken each experience in stride as a reliable, hard-working individual with a passion for creativity.
Since joining the Badger & Combes team 4 years ago (pre-badger), working alongside such like-minded individuals has been an enriching experience, and has provided me with many opportunities that as a student I would not have received otherwise. For example, I have filmed fashion shows, main-stage filming of the Reminisce festival 2019 (the Vengaboys were a personal highlight), Digital Theatre Plus, taken part in many an online livestream of Sale Sharks’ rugby games being broadcast (where I have been the camera operator for the tri-line), as well as national and international broadcasts such as the Rugby League Man of Steel Awards Ceremony amongst other prestigious clientele. It is safe to say that being part of Badger & Combes is never a dull experience and always motivates me to put 100% of my energy into the task at hand, knowing full-well that everyone in the team is also putting in maximum effort.
