Ryan Dickson
What I do
As a production assistant at Badger and Combes, my role sees me travelling across the country for a variety of sporting events. I then assist the team in setting up, camera operating and derigging, gaining valuable industry experience whilst doing it. When I’m not away doing live broadcasts, I spend my time in the office working on graphic design for AFC Wrexham.

How I started
I’m currently in my third year of university at UCFB, where I study Sports Broadcasting, so to spend half my week working alongside Cricket and football clubs is fantastic as a huge sports fan. Initially starting on the talent pathway, I was offered a part-time role in the summer, where I left my hometown in Cornwall to further pursue a broadcasting career.

My Passion
I’ve always been a passionate sports fan, attending live football matches with my dad and sister since childhood. Experiencing some of the world’s greatest sporting atmospheres inspired me to pursue a career at these events, sharing their compelling stories with a wider audience.
